    is a 130mm possible on a TB2

i compared the geometry of the Tb2 and Tblt, and they are very close other than the fork being used changes the axle to crown measurement 27mm. Can you assume the measurements will stay very close with only 10mm of fork change? i am looking at the new fox34 2016 in 130mm , if i drop my stem height will it help in any wandering characteristics that might develop with increasing the travel

Don't forget about the A2C difference between the Fox 32 and Fox 34. IIRC it is 6-7mm. So you're looking at a 16-17mm increase over a Fox 32 120mm.

I've been looking into the same upgrade on my TBc 1 and have decided to go Fox 34 120mm.

I have a rare 2015 Fox 34 set at 130mm on my XL TB2. :-) PNW rooty terrain...I enjoy it.

    Cheers,

i read the new 2016 fox 34 is about 10mm shorter than the older fox32 . about 537mm.

    the 2014 FOX 32 29" at 130mm ist 530mm, a 2016 FOX 34 wouldn't be shorter with 537mm set at 130mm.

you will sit too far over the rear wheel for acceptable steep climbing with 537mm in the front on a TB2, which causes a very slack seat angle in my opinion.

I don't see any issue here, all a matter of personal preference. When I helped a friend build up his TB1 we used a 120mm fork and he loved it, going 10mm taller isn't going to make much of a difference IMHO, not enough to really bother you or make you take notice and make climbing stuff go from easily make-able to impossible, might just have to scoot forward on the saddle some more maybe

I currently run a 130 on my TB1. I have a works 1 degree headset on order and a 120mm Pike in the mail. We'll see how that goes...

I've got my TB2 built with a 130 Pike. It's great. Head angle is good, doesn't feel sluggish at all.

My TB2c currently sits with a Reba 140 on it. No issues with climbing.

Ran the same fork on my TBc.

Does slack the front end out a bit, but nothing that makes me want to swap it out. Steep climbs are not a problem. Occasionally the front end wanders, but again nothing that makes me want to swap it out.

Run what you want. You will adjust to whatever you have. Maybe it takes a little extra body english from time to time.

The carbon is way more durable than most people.
