    Wheelset question for Fargo owners

    Hello,
I would like some input/recommendations from Fargo owners for a new wheelset. I recently purchased a pre owned Fargo and am really enjoying it. It is my first, and currently only, drop bar bike. I realize the Fargo is more intended for trail use, but I would like to purchase a lighter weight more versatile wheelset that I can use for gravel riding, etc.
any recommendations for a wheelset that can accomodate a set of cross tires as well as mtb tires? Thanks

Any XC type 29"er wheel set will do just fine. Keep the inner rim width to under 25mm and any 35-50mm tire will work great on it. Depending upon how much you want to spend, you should easily get a wheel set under 1500 grams. Also- your new wheel set should cover you for both trail/XC and gravel duty. No need for two separate wheel sets at all.

If you want to go tubeless, then I suggest the Stans Crest rims. You can find deals on pre-built stans wheelsets with stans hubs and crest rim. Expect to pay in the $550-$650 range for a complete wheelset. Relatively light too.
As G-T points out there are many options. I'm running Stans arch rims on stans hubs. I do some camping with mine and carry some gear so I wanted something a bit burlier. Truth is I could probably go crest and not really notice a difference.
