Cool! What's up with the wheels and the top tube routed brake line? Did you have it built up?

They built it for someone that backed out of it.
I do like the brake line on the top tube since I have bottomed my BB before.

I really love my Spearfish. It took me a few months to get used to the flexy rear end, but after learning to stay seated in the climbs it really impressed me. This bike shines when you're on your last legs of a long ride because it tends to make the trail, climbing, and descending all around easier and comfortable. My Spearfish is going to remain in my garage for many years. Happy trails!

New fork, front hub, pedals, grips, and saddle. went from a straight steerer open dropout reba to the tapered through axle fox. it's like night and day.

How were you running a straight steerer on a tapered head tube?

Here's a few pictures of the Spearfish's recent adventures on the front range. This bike handles everything I can throw at it.

Great looking bike! Did you weight it yet? Also, how do you like the the RP2? Does it have good small bump compliance and a good lockout?

the bike weighs 25.75lbs and the RP2 works great, I use it in ProPedal most of the time and its perfect. I just set the sag and I was good to go.

Also, do you notice any play in the rear hub (wheel)? I felt like the rear end was kinda flexy but then I thought it was just the chainstay design doing what it was supposed to do. Then I realized the rear wheel is kinda loose. I can wiggle it just a little bit when its locked in.
Your derailleur hanger is loose - check the tiny flathead screw that holds it on. Absolutely poor design.

A bit off topic, but how are you guys liking the Continental X - Kings that are coming on the complete builds? Which version is it?
I have a 2013 on order, due in late February. Just trying to figure out what I'm going to run for tires and if going tubeless.

    Thanks.

Here's my 2011 Spearfish fresh off the Colorado Trail Race this past summer. Perfomed flawlessly...not even a flat tire. About 45 lbs fully loaded.
