    New Salsa owner

After hearing so much great things about this bike I was planning on buying the new Salsa El Mariachi in the spring. That was until I stopped in at my local bike shop and noticed they had the 2013 El Mar 2 on closeout, I bought it the next day haha. This is my first Salsa as well as my first 29er coming from a 2011 Specialized Rockhopper. I absolutely love this thing, very very impressed. I live in west central Pennsylvania so my first rides have been in the snow.
Here are some pictures of the fist ride.

Nice, I love mine. Hope the freehub on your rear hub holds up better than mine. Mine is toast after a season. Otherwise, it's awesome.

Anyone know how well 2.4 tires fit? I really want to get run 2.4 trail or mountain kings but there isnt very much space between the tire and seat tube. I know salsa says it will clear a 2.4 it just doesn't seem like it would haha

I have no problem running Ardent 2.4s on my '13 El Mar Ti with a Recon Gold, if that's any help.

Nice thing about the Alternators is that you could always adjust them back a little to get better clearance between the wheel and seat tube. My plates are set to the middle of the travel.
2013 El Mariachi Ti and a motor that needs an overhaul.
