    Mukluk as 29er

Putting aside why one might want to do this, is there a reason (geometry etc.) why I couldn't build a Mukluk as a 29er with suspension fork?

    Has anyone done this?

I have seen pictures, forget where. Maybe on the Salsa blog or Guitar Ted's site. It was a ridgid though.

This is becoming increasingly more popular, it seems. Guitar Ted and others report that the 170mm symmetrical rear and 135 symmetrical front build up into very robust 29er wheels. I haven't seen any reports of a suspension front, but it's likely doable without trouble.

2014 Mukluks run a 483mm A-C fork, which should be around 100mm suspension corrected 29er range, if I remember correctly.

You could run three wheelsets in Mukluk nirvana... Fat, 29er+, and 700x40 touring. BB clearance to ground is probably OK as a pure road bike down to 700x32.

My buddy did this on his two years ago and rode it through the season. A little wide in the rear end, a shadow style derailleur helps a bunch.
