    Fargo 2013 or 2014

Are there any real differences between a 2013 or 2014 Fargo 2. Except the root beer paint?

Note, the carbon fork is thru-axle, and not QR.

Not sure if a carbon fork justifies the difference in price. I've seen some 2013's on closeout for a good price.

Fully agree. I have a steel fork on my sscx bike and prefer it over cf. I also like the brown over the blue

I saw a 2013 for $1,700. Not sure if it's a good price or not. It's a lot of bike for under $2K though.

In Fall 2012, when 2013s had come out, I got a great deal on a 2012 from my local shop, about $400 off. No regrets; extremely happy after many many miles on the stock build. I'm sure you will be well-served by a 2013, and hopefully can find a good discount. The biggest benefit, in my eyes, of the 2014 is the dropouts if you want to run single speed or internally geared. Outside of that, I don't think there's any big benefit.
