New question here. El Mariachi - Old Ti vs new Ti

I had a El Mariachi Ti back before the alternator dropouts appeared (2011 or '12 I think) and when they were made by Lynskey (straight tubes, 80mm reba). It handled great but seemed harsh for Ti (built for someone twice my 150lbs). I'm wondering if any one here has direct experience with this older generation as compared to the latest triple butted version? I know they changed the geo a bit too. If I do this route I'll likely put a 120 Pike on it and run SS to start. Here's what I'm curious about.

    - is the compliance similar, better, worse?
    - Is the handling similar?

I never rode the Lynskey bike so I can't help you there, but I am pretty sure i read a comparison review somewhere when the new Taiwan frames came out. A google search should sort you out, but it might even have been on here. I want to say it was Guitar Ted too, but I might be making that up.
    Hope this helps.

    edit to add:

I'm trying to find it for you but in the meantime this post is interesting.

Thanks man! I tried to consult the oracle (google) and failed. Perhaps the force is not strong with this one...

If anyone has had the chance to compare I imagine it's G-Ted. I checked the thread you linked and it seems to have stopped before folks got a change to ride and review. Also I believe they also changed the geo a bit from '13 to '14.

The force was weak here too! lol
Couldn't find the thread or article that I was thinking of, but IIRC it did compare the newer frames well against the old.

Well, I couldn't pass up on this deal. I should have the bike in a couple weeks.
