Any ETA on the new delgado 29er disc?

It sounded like the 29er disc was going to follow the Race Disc, and become welded, instead of pinned and sleeved, to make it stronger, as the Race Disc was to have benefited from this in its construction.

    Any truth to that?

I just answered this over on the 29er board too. Good to know there is that much interest.

We will have something new, but we are still months away. I've got no details to share at this point. Sorry.

    Jason,

Thanks for the response. I guess my reason for asking is, I am on a limited budget. Obviously, the new iteration of something is always "better", but are the inherent qualities in the current 29er that much lower, that it makes sense to wait. I need to build up a black 32 hole with my existing hubs. Been riding on Rhynolite 32, and have had no trouble as I don't jump or anything like that. But, I think the Ryhno's could be overkill for what I am doing on singletrack and fireroads, and would love love to shed about 100 grams per wheel and keep with a nice wide rim.

    Thoughts?

I will only comment on one thing. Waiting can result in a "Better" design or product. That said, it can also result in more money. The only detail I'll share at the moment is that the new rim will be welded just like the Race rim. That means more $$. I only mention this as you said you have a "limited budget".
