Alternator versioned for thru-axel ?
I stripped a bolt in non-driveside Alternator and while removing it for replacement, it dawned on me... couldn't Salsa easily version the Alternator to be compatible with a ThruAxel ??
I love the feel of my Selma Ti frame,.... but thru axels seem to be all the rage these days, and becoming more commonplace on XC, so heck, why not.
I just noticed that Salsa does offer a 12x142 thru axel Alternator hanger option !!
Any input on how this upgrade, along with converting CK ISO hubs, would affect handling on a 2012 Selma Ti SS ridden hard?
Is the weight penalty worth the benefit?
How does the positive flex of the Titanium frame interact with the increased stiffness of the Maxle?
