Ah, fack, I got FAT over the winter!

Well, not really, but I did gain an extra 10-12 over my usual summer weight over this (inactive/injury) winter. So now it has to come off.
I made a bargain with myself starting this weekend.
If I (either) lose 10 pounds (or) ride 1000 road/mt miles, I buy myself a new Pike.
    Incentive time!
I win either way, just a matter of which one I do first!
Any of you make successful bargains like this?

Yup! I went and got a Mukluk2 in Dec. and then this has been a very cold year up here in Northern MN. I haven't been riding as much as I thought I was so gained 10lbs also. I have that circulatory thing called Raynaud's so when it's -10 or below that I don't get off ass as much other that going out and snowshoeing some single track for the above -10 days like now I do bargains like that by signing up for a 24 hour solo in July and sometimes a 100 miler in June. It puts a target out in front of me so to speak.
