2013 Horse Thief Rear suspension set up.

I purchased a 2013 HT 3 on closeout as an economical way to get back into riding, I have put about 60 miles on it in a couple weeks. I love it so far.

I have been careful to log my suspension set up setting for each ride and my results. I have been running 180 psi in the rear shock (RS monarch) with the rebound set at 4+ clicks from slowest side. I weigh 180lbs with hydration pack and gear. This gives me right about 20 to 22% sag.

So I am curious, what are some of the other Horse Thief owners here Rear suspension setups, pressure and Sag measurements and results from them?

I run about 25% on my 2012 on XC-type trails with maybe one more click in rebound than you use. On rockier stuff I run closer to 30% sag. I weigh about 180 geared up and 165-8 psi gets me about 25%.

2013 Horse Thief Rear suspension set up.

I set it up based on Salsa set up guide for the HT, weight + 10psi. But have since dropped 7-10 psi out. Seems a bit stiff on the xc trails, but great on faster rooted and rocky down hills.

Thanks for the input. It's helpful to see what others with this frame are running. Speeds up, my set up leaning curve with my first FS bike.
