    Thoughts on putting a 150mm (Z1 RC2 ETA) on a Switch?

This is an '05 or '06 RM Switch (1.0 I believe). Comes with a Marz DropOff III. Anyone ever put a 150mm fork on this frame? How does it feel? It would be the '07 Marz Z1 RC2/ETA. It's about a 20mm difference since the DropOff is 170mm.

    Thoughts? Comments?

20mm of fork travel change is about 1 degree of head angle, so going from 67d to 68d is not making it XC steep, that puts it about the same as the Slayer SXC.

what's the rear travel on a Switch?

This is not for me BTW, its for a buddy of mine. I have the Z1 and will probably sell it to him but I want to make sure it will be a good match for this bike. I know nothing of RockyMountain bikes or Switch.

In 2005 the rear travel was 150mm, in 2006 it was 178mm

The Z1's A2C height is in the low to mid 540 range. Match it according to that, not the travel. I can't remember what the DJ's A2C height is. They had a bunch of different crowns, from flat ones to taller ones, and some variations.

The 2005 Switch S1 and 2006 Switch 1.0 were both shipped with 170mm Drop Off triple crown forks, so the actual A2C was likely adjustable by adjusting the triple tree clamping points.
