Looks really clean and obviously lighter. It's not even the same bike really... Most notable to me is the change in shock rate. The angle of the shock in the prototype shoots to the moon compared to the "flat" angle of the current frame. (No pun intended...)

    Hey guys,

Only a prototype, in fact we didn't mean to leak this, it just sort of happened. You will probably see many different versions of the "flatline WCT" this year, and they may not all look like that. We are experimenting on tube shapes, shock rate, etc, etc. This frame and all the team frames are all being welded in Vancouver (except Carbon of course), so you will probably see our racers on a couple different versions of the "Flatline". This is was Rocky has done for years, we test, and test, and test the hell out of these frames before they ever make it to consumers, and now we have a kick ass race team to give us feed back on design. Expect some exciting designs in the future, our engineering department has been working over time!

In the world of cell phone cameras you guys will have to start using the methods of the car industry in disguising new model testing

Yeah, but then we would get harassed about our "new" paint jobs on every message board in the mtb world...... No way to hide team frames really.....

Wrapping frame tubes in burlap? Wrapping frame tubes in duct tape ala messenger bikes? Testing on night rides?

Looks much better, now all Rocky needs is to hire new people with fresh ideas to work out the graphics.

And please bring back the beautiful headtube badges! Looks great like in these photos. The decals used in the newer models I've seen just don't compare IMHO.

Looks lovely, like a complete bike nice smooth clean lines, the current model looks fugly and messy. If the results are anything to go by it seems like a pretty fast bike.
Can't wait to see the next version and better still the production version for next year

Wow, Sabrina Jonnier did nicely in the qualifying at La Bresse. Does that seem like a really short time? It must be a very short course compared to Mont Sainte Anne where the times are about double these.

Don't experiment too much with tubes, straight and round or maybe a little bit of hidroform is perfect. That prototype is pretty amazing as it is. When you go crazy with tubes nothing good can happen.

She's on a steam roller style roll, although she won Maribor by a mere 0.31 seconds.
