Not my bike, but I was demo'ing this Thunderbolt at Mont Sainte Anne on the World Cup weekend. It lives up to its promise, I'm looking forward to trying one of the new Thunderbolt MSL's.

    Post your RM shots

Figured I would post my bike. It's not the most glamorous RM out there but it suits what I ride pretty well. I haven't seen many posted here but this frame sure takes a bearing well.

I think the only thing stock is the wheels, headset and seat post.

    SLX cranks
    XT rear derailleur
    XT shifter
    XT trail pedals
    XT 11-34 9sp cassette
    Avid BB7 brakes
    Raceface 32t narrow wide
    Raceface Evolve bars and stem
    WTD Pure saddle

So I went to the Eurobike 2014 and saw a bunch of Rocky Mountains.

The new Element with a Manitou fork? Hmm

Is the yellow on the Altitude Rally a neon yellow? Thanks for the pics.

All that yellow needs is some spatter paint to recreate the late 80's and early 90's.

    Good job!

So true. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't want that yellow Rally Edition.

It appears that for 2015, even Fox's 36 is convertible between 15mm and 20mm axles, I expect 20mm wheelsets will be rarer all the time

    According to Instinct 990 MSL BC Edition (2015) *-*PeerkesBikeShop.Com the 990 MSL has a 140mm Pike with a 15mm thru-axle.

    Damn. Oh well.

15mm axle....a good example of something done half-a$$ed IMO.

My old slightly used 2010 Rocky Mountain Altitude 70rsl

It is doing well. I have not outgrown it yet. However, I finally beat the old rims into submission. Breaking nipples or spokes every outing, and flats. So, just put out for new tubeless setup. Stans arch rims, Hope hubs,Ikon tires, Shimano Ice rotors. Other changes: race face 785mm SixC carbon bars, 50mm Atlas stem, some new blue cables for the wide bars, pd-m647 clips. Still has the original Shelter protection tape I put on when bought the bike, the frame has not cracked, so I guess it gets a thumbs up. Last is a 9point8 dropper post. I should add the weight, 30lbs even. Post your RM shots-race-face-sixc-carbon-bars.jpgPost your RM shots-rocky-mountain-new-rims-stans-8-2014-b.jpgPost your RM shots-9point8-dropper-post-2-.jpg
