    Plans for a 650b hardtail?

    Hi fellows

Anyone know if RM have any plans to build a modern, high end 650 b hardtail. Maybe a Blizzard with Reynolds or Columbus tubes (or even ti) with all the latest bells and whistles. Not keen on carbon- prefer metal. I loved my blizzard - smoothest hardtail I've ever ridden (and there's been a lot!).
Anybody else fancy something like this?

I've been considering a 650b HT for quite some time now. Like many of us, I started on a 26" rigid, then a 26" HT, then 26" FS, and now I'm on the 29" Ibis Ripley FS. Love all of them, but now I've got this bug up my ass for a 27.5 HT!
When I talk to my fellow riders about it, they always ask "Why would you want that?!" In their eyes, the only HT worth riding is the 29er; I'm not sure I agree with them.
I'm 5'8", 165#, and have been mountain biking for 23 years. I really like my Ripley, but I have to admit, it took some getting used to, because it is a big bike. My thoughts on the 650b (XX1) are: instant acceleration, simple design (no FD, no rear suspension), nearly as much ground contact as the 29er, almost as nimble as the 26", and, well, most importantly, that spectacular connection between rider, bike and the earth that can only be experienced on a HT! If you ride a JHT, you know what I mean.
I'd love to hear some thoughts from some other avid riders/racers out there.
    Ride daily, when possible!
