I searched a bit here, and also posted in the 29er forum, but I figured I'd try you guys as well.
I'm looking at a Hammer 29 frame, and it seems to me that the "SS" vs. "geared" distinction is based soley on the build-up of the complete bike and not on the frame itself. Based on the RM website, it looks like both frames have a read derailleur hanger, EBB, and cable guides. Are they one in the same, just different colors?
Also, has anyone here had issues with the EBB? I wouldn't plan on running it SS, just as a 2x9 setup, so I don't want to complicate things with an EBB. At the same time, I like RM's way of business and I like the Reynolds tubing.
Any thoughts from those in the know?
