I'm looking to pick up a new bike soon.
If I go with the ETSX, I'm trying to decide between the 50 or the 70. The 50 is obviously a lot cheaper, comes with the Formula ORO K24 brakes that MTBR reviewers seem to love, but it doesn't give you the Talus variable height fork.
Where does the fork make the difference? I don't need every bell and whistle, but I know on my current bike I have to ride with the front of the seat 'having its way with me' to get up a steep hill without pulling the front wheel off the ground. Is this an area where the fork makes a serious difference?
The Shimano XT brakes on the 70 have a lot of mixed reviews on MTBR. I seriously doubt the XTs would be a problem or Rocky wouldn't use them on a high end bike.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
