Element 970 RSL on way. Race wheels required?

Looking for some assistance with more details on the wheelset that comes with the Element 970 RSL. I went with the 970 with the intent of purchasing another set of race wheels after having tonnes of problems with rear hoop on a 2011 Trek Top Fuel and Carbon Bontrager rear wheel last year. Any suggestions on wheels is also appreciated.

If you're intent on a killer race wheelset, Enve carbon XC 29 rims with DT Swiss 240S hubs would be the way to go. The Enve rims are super stiff and perfectly true, so the wheel build isn't having to true up and stabilize a less than round or true rim. They have no practical rider weight limit. They are eye-wateringly expensive, but are well matched to the high end frames on the Element RSL.

Plus you can ride them all the time. They are built to last.

ENVE's if you have the money, Stan's Race Golds if you have a little less money, and if you're short on cash after buying a super-pimp bike, Stan's Crests are always a good wheelset to have. Reliable, tubeless, light enough for everyday riding and racing, and only $530!
