Element 950RSL or Element 970RSL BC Edition for Aussie marathoner/trail rider

    Hi folks.
Am looking at my first foray into 29ers as I have just got back on the bike after 18 months lay-off (currently ride BMC SF02 26er).
I am looking at either of these two RM bikes and predominantly ride trails/semi-techy trails (Manly Dam and Appin for those from Aus) which contain single track, some steep-ish, rocky descents/ascents and fire road.
The dual remote lockout of the 950RSL appeals, but the 120mm front of the BC (with adjustable to 95) might be more suited to most of my riding. I also plan on entering 50km/100km marathons here in Oz as well, once i get back to fitness.
Any riders (Aussie or otherwise) have experience with either bike? I am 6 foot tall so am guessing Medium.
Any and all advice welcome! (And sorry for the lengthy post in advance!)
    JW

I love my BC 970 RSL, the 95-120 mm option is brilliant. I'm 6'2, and the XL fits perfectly- there are previous posts on this forum with size advice.
