Cracked Chain Stay on Vertex 990 RSL

A couple of weeks after returning from the Trans Rockies (TR) race I noticed a crack on the top on my left chainstay. The mechanic, Andrew, working on my bike during the TR was the mechanic for Jon Firth and Stefan Widmer (Rocky Mountain racers). I think Andrew would have noticed the crack. I haven't raced since the TR and only done easy riding.

My local bike, where I bought the bike, sent in photos ont the crack. Is Rocky Mountain good about warrantying frame cracks when there are no signs of trauma to the frame? Any advice? I am hoping to have my bike for US Marathon Nationals on Spetember 15th. Thanks.

Yes, provided you provide all the relevant, paperwork, bits and pieces for the bike/frame. Remember they aren't Giant or Specialize and therefore don't have excess frames lying around the warehouse like these mass produced companies, so you may need a plan B as a back up bike for the race in 3 weeks...
