    29er Element Shock Questions

Do all the 29er Elements (both Al and carbon) run the same rear shocks? What is the shock length and stroke of those shocks? And if known, what is the tune on those shocks?
Before I actually get my frame I may get a back up shock so I don't have any down time. I might look into a custom valved from PUSH or Suspension Experts. I'm also not a fan of remotes so I might get a shock without one.

They are all using 6.5" x 1.5" shocks, but they vary in the type. RS Monarch RL, RS Monarch XX, Fox Float CTD are used depending on the model. The carbon Elements have different shock valving (race tuned) compared to the alloy Elements.

Not sure about valving on the 29" Element shocks but with this high a shock leverage ratio, they have to have custom valving and air canisters to get enough ramp up at the end of travel to prevent bottoming and still have some small bump compliance.
