    2013 Altitude Pivot O-Rings Disintegrating

The rubber O-Rings which keep the dust out of the rear pivots have disintigrated on my 790msl.

Is this a part that should be kept on hand? Is it bad to ride without them?

Judging by some issues people have had on the Element pivots, likely something you want to replace soon.

I noticed my o-rings are starting to dry out and crack. I'm pretty disappointed to see this after only 3 months.
The glass is twice as large as it needs to be

I wonder of they're being snagged and stretched with the movement of the pivot? Should they be lubed lightly to stop any snagging and overstretching/cracking?
