    Rocky/Ritchey question...

For the guys that might have one of the early Rocky Mountain/Ritcheys...what crank do they come spec-ed with?
A Shimano FC 6206, by any chance?

Sorry, I've been meaning to check for you - bike is in the basement and I haven't had time to check - I know kb11's bike seen here http://www.oldmountainbikes.com/cgi-...i?bike=6D00168 has the 600 crank, but I'm pretty sure mine has the
    FC B124 (Deore?)

My bike has some other spec. differences that don't really make sense, I suspect that some of the Deerhead kit may have been swapped out by the shop that originally sold it - it has a 'Light Action' rear derailleur and Deore shifters.
5 is the old new black; 6 is the new new black...

I'm almost 100% sure mine came with a Takagi - if it wasn't Takagi it was a Sugino - triple crank. The bike shop I got it from didn't assemble it correctly and the left fell off, so it was replaced with a mis-matched Deore.
