    Ritchey Tires

Does anybody run with Ritchey Z Max Classic Pro 2.35. If so, are they a true 2.35 ? I've read that Ritchey tires run narrow. I'm wanting to run them on my P21 rigid, but they must clear the Cants.

I run an old 2.35 Z Max tan wall on my P-23 with no problems. Its pretty close to a true 2.35 I'd say. No issues with canti clearance.

Back in the day, Ritchie tires were the shizzle. Have heard very little lately about 'em. Maybe they need a new marketing guy? Rumfy, how's the rubber holding out on those tires? I find often that with old tires, the rubber gets hard and knobs tend to shear off.

I'm not that big of a Z-Max fan for trails out here. They tend to be the easiest 'vintage' tire to get with tan walls that aren't totally wasted. Not sure about their current line up of tires.

For modern tire duty, WTB or Specialized for me. They've got great stuff.

But ya, running older tires does have its pit falls. The knobs do get shredded easily and the side walls can start to fray.
