I see what you mean. That may be one of the prototype P-29ers. Maybe Ritchey Dave will fill us in.

Not sure where that photo came from but it's true, our next version P-29er will come with vertical dropouts.

Does the headtube remain or it will be also upgraded to 44mm?

Do you know when the new carbon cx disk fork will be available? What rotor size will it be compatible with, 160mm with or without adaptor? Thanks in advance for your answer.

It is designed to work with both 140mm or 160mm (with adaptor) rotors. We're expecting them early June.

I have a 2-bolt Ritchey WCS carbon Trail seatpost and I can't find the correct torque on the seatpost anywhere. Can someone help me please because I don't want to damage the post.
My bike is never the problem and can always be faster than I can...

The saddle rail clamp is 12Nm. If you're talking about seatpost collar clamp, there's no torque specification for that from us cause it varies depending on the frame and collar.

    Thanks Dave ,
I meant the rail camp. Shouldn't it be on the clamp anywhere?

Yeah, that would be a good idea. I'll pass that along to product development.

    Ritchey_Dave,

First of all, love my SS P-29er. Fits me like a glove and it's a blast to ride. However, I have seatpost slippage issues. I've already shredded a carbon post due to slippage and I'm in the process of shredding a Ritchey WCS alloy link post that won't stay put. I'm afraid to crank down as hard as I can on the seatpost bolt so I'm wondering if carbon grease would solve the problem. My question is, will a carbon grease corrode the seat tube? Also, if I eventually over tighten the seatpost clamp and do damage, is that warrantable? Thx.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the frame. Sorry to hear you're having issues. Carbon paste would work if you're using a carbon post. Otherwise I'd just tighten it down more so that it doesn't slip. We haven't had any warranties regarding our seat tubes being too big so my guess is maybe you can go with a little more tightening on the clamp bolt. This will not void the warranty. If you continue to have a problem, bring it to your local bike shop and have them take a look. They can then contact our warranty department if they see it as a problem.

I am wanting to get a shorter stem for my bike it currently has a Ritchey Comp stem and bar and the information provided with my bike says its a 31.4mm stem and bar but when looking at Ritchey's products I could not find this size so have I been misinformed or is this a bit of an odd size?
The bike is a 2013 Cell pioneer.

We do not make anything in a 31.4 size. 31.8 is the industry standard for bar clamp diameter. Older bikes used 25.4 and 26.0. Some companies are putting out 35 bar and stems right now. I've never heard of 31.4, my guess is it was a typo.

Ritchey site does not include wheelbase information in frame geometry. Wheelbase for p-team, p-27.5 in 19"? Thank you.

Safe to use a WCS Link Carbon seatpost on my P-29er? Most sites list it as a road post...

I don't have that particular number as it varies based on tires and fork used. Why do you ask? Are you just interested in handling characteristics. If that's the case, our chainstays on both these frames are on the slightly longer end to allow a more stable all day ride. Based on the fork and tires you choose you can increase or decrease this slightly. Let me know if you have a more specific question you want me to help answer.
