Anyone running Syncros AM DS28 29 rims?

    I'm a clyde ~6'3" 235-240 lbs.

Ive killed DT 7.1s, Stans Flows (36hole) and some cheaper mavic rims (A317's?).
Im building up my Banshee Paradox as a fun hardtail....
I like to huck things, i like to land sideways, i like to jump things. I hate when my equipment cant take it haha...

Tubeless isnt a necessity, so im looking into wider AM 29er hoops.

Trying to make this bike replace my transam i sold earlier this year....

ANY Opinions on the rim? wide and strong? I like eyeleted rims....

    Thanks!

I had a complete wheelset from Ritchey/Syncros on long term test for www.ridemonkey.com and I have to say that I absolutely loved the rims.

I'm sub-clyde weight so take that for what it's worth.

FYI - they (the rims) might be at a really good price at www.bikewagon.com - might be worth a look see.

save yourself some money and go with the Halo Freedom Disc rims, they are the same rims. i got mine for $45 each from speedgoat back in May

these things are bomb proof, they will laugh at your scrawny 240 lbs.

all the research i did before going the Halo route pointed to that direction, mostly input from forums and my own spec comparison of both rims.

I built up a set with Synchros DS 28 rims on Flow hubs for a LBS here in AZ. They are beautiful, but no one has bought them yet. PM me if you're interested and I'll give you the LBS contact info.
