I have twice in the last ten years broken the radius and ulna in my right arm, just behind the wrist joint. One of those times it was open (the ulna looked like an ice cream cone dropped in the dirt, blech, got all infected and whatnot).
I've experienced full recoveries both times with a slight reduction in ROM. I've been thinking about wearing wrist guards / braces not to to protect a healing injury but for the purposes mitigating damage in a crash.
What are people's views on the wrist braces on the market (EVS, CTI OTS, etc) for use in terms of prevention rather than recovery?
