top of foot sore and swollen

the top where my right foot meets my leg is sore and down the foot some to my toes and up my leg a little. I think its extensor tendonitis. saturday I did an easy ride. then saturday night I get out of my pc chair and bam my foot is in intense pain from 10pm to like 8am. i only got a few hours sleep, and I usually sleep like a baby. then it felt a lot better during the day on sunday, I did hardly any walking. taking 2 asprin every 4 hours, and icing. sunday around midnight it got really bad again. maybe a little worse than sat. during the night I noticed the pain in the front of my leg a little, it wasn't there sat night. today its about the same as it was sunday in the day.

Im not sure what caused this but im guessing back extensions. I started doing them over an exercise ball with the heel of my feet tucked under the lip of the couch a couple months ago to strengthen back muscles. doing those made my hamstrings sore and felt stressful for my calfs. I noticed some pain in my right hamstring about 3 weeks ago. it didn't feel like much, then a week later it was gone and a new pain was in my right calf, that didn't feel like much, another week later that was gone and now a pain in the foot which again didn't feel like much. about a week later and we get to now. my foot is pretty swollen, it looks like I broke my foot or something. the skin is red.

    Go to the doctor.
    Could be a simple strain.
Or it could be much more serious.
Do a google search on DVT signs and symptoms.

    Signs and Symptoms of DVT

Half of all DVT cases cause no symptoms. If you do have any of the DVT symptoms below -- especially if they occur suddenly -- call your doctor right away:

Swelling in one or both legs
Pain or tenderness in one or both legs, which may occur only while standing or walking
Warmth in the skin of the affected leg
Red or discolored skin in the affected leg
    Visible surface veins
    Leg fatigue
