Titanium Rod, Plate and 3 Screws.......

Laid down the road bike Sat on the concrete trail due to loose sand. My left hip took the brunt of the fall. Saved the bike due to being clipped in. Wife doesn't like that at all....

She wants me to sell my bikes and I told her to go to you know what. I should be 100% in 6-8 weeks. Keep your fingers crossed.

Pics of the xray and me screaming like a lil girl on the stretcher:

Best of luck on a speedy recovery. Doesn't look fun. Be nice to the wife, she's probably taking good care of you.

Looks like a DePuy compression hip screw(I sling hardware), commonly used for fractures of the proximal femur extending from the subcapital area to the subtrochanteric area. Doc did a good job; heal up!

Actually, I have my mom out with us taking care of me. She is off for the summer due to working for the school system here.

My wife is 7 months pregnant. That means she is a control freak right now. She took my comment with a grain of salt because she knows I love my hobby. Thank god, mom was available. The wife can go about her day to day things and not have to worry about dealing with me. Hopefully it will somewhat keep her stress level down.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Ouch! That's what clipped-in landings on your side can result in!

Looks like clipless users must invest in some hip armor... even if they don't do downhills and the like.
