    Swimming back to health

    Is there anything better than swimming for rehab of lower body injuries? It is very low impact. The resistance makes for cardio workout. Senior citizens and race horses swear by it. I like it combines with Tai Chi to improve flexibility.

    I suppose it depends on what type of injury.

    You might want to lay off pushing off of the walls w/ the injured limb. I hurt my knee a few years ago while training for an Ironman so I swam to rehab. Pushing off of the wall after a flip turn would make it ache post workout.

    Swimming is the best!

    I was hit by a car recently on my road bike and my doc has me swimming with my trainer. It's awesome. And, although I'm not fond of it, I've been forced to do the eliptical.

    I hope that you recover soon! My prescription would be:

    1) Guilt tripping your friends into making you dinner all of the time
    2) Mojitos

    Well, those two should get you well on your way to speedy recovery!
