    Surgery ahead

I'm going to shut down my riding for the next 3 months as I recover from surgery to repair a torn tibial ankle tendon . Aside from the actual procedure the thing depressing me the most as the day approaches is not being able to ride. I will be forced to live vicariously thru this forum and all the exciting tales of rides to come. As my luck would have it the rain is going to be brutal over the holiday weekend

    So--how'd the surgery go?

It seems like everyone posting here is looking at months off the bike. It sucks, it happened to me and now to you, but I'm finally riding again...and so will you.

Surgery went well twenty-two staples later and I'm still 4-5 weeks away from bearing any weight on the ankle,12 total for a full recovery. Thanks for asking, I'll just keeping reading and looking forward to getting back in the saddle.
