    Question about Knee pain!

I know see a doctor! But before I give in and go heres what is going on - lemme know if this is symptomatic of something specific. Started last weekend(4 days ago) when I go on longer rides(10-20 mile) the inside of my left knee, right next to the knee cap starts burning/hurting really bad on the downstroke. Its a little sore when not biking but hurts bad when biking. I have to ride a minimum of 5-8 miles before I feel it and when Im really cranking on the pedals hard is when I feel it.

Ok so random stab (im not a doctor) Can you stretch a ligiment or something in there(i also suck at anatomy) that would cause this. Anything is helpful thanks.

Btw no recollection of any hard falls on the knee in question.

    Chondromalacia. bicycles.

I recommend Andy Pruitt's complete medical guide for cyclists....while sitting on the couch with ice on my knee, 800mg of ibuprofen in my blood stream and a cold beer in my left hand.

Seriously. The book will address proper bike fit and causes of pain.
