    the pasion of injury!

well today i was riding, practicing my technical abilities in a rock garden. Hit a rock the wrong way and was thrown from the bike. POOW! i landed right on a bed of rocks and cuaght my finger between a few. I felt it hit, but when i looked down i wasn't ready for my middle1 finger to be bend at 90 degrees, the wrong way. Needless to say it was the most painful 2 mile ride back to the car that i've ever had. finally made it to the emergency room and they popped it back in. took some X-rays, and found i had broken a piece off as well. Long story short....i am out of biking for 7 weeks according to the dr.

unfortunately i didn't get a pic of the damage and hey i just noticed i typed this all with my right hand...icing the finger

    did the same

Not biking related just fell on my steps in April, I make it through all of winter without a fall on the ice or snow around our steps. Then a light coating of frost on wooden steps did me in.
I got back on the bike in about a week and a half. Take care ...Al

you really don't want to know. 3 years of being disabled can unhinge a person. And it did. I thought I was indestructable, then I learnt different.

Well, seeing as though your back on a bike now, I will assume that you're fully recovered. And find you wonderfully unhinged.

As an upstate trucker, the people I usually have to hang around are much less interesting.
