So my new nickname is Crash lately. Three very nice OTB crashes that always result in a shin shot in rocky terrain. The last one was a month ago which was not even close to being 100% healed from the last crash. The result of all these crashes is a numbness that does not go away in the right shin. It is not something that bothers me but I do notice the feeling or lack of feeling is there. If it is not of concern it does help for future crashes; kind of like my body's own pain management.
I know that the UFC fighters get this a lot from constantly having their shins bashed. I am sure I will get a response to wear pads; I have some Veggies but tend to forget to bring them out on rides.
