    mountain biking with shoulder sprain/strain

Was at work Monday and coming down from climbing up a rack to get something from the top shelf. When coming down i thought I was close enough to step down but it was a little further than I thought and my right arm was holding on to the side of the rack and I felt a pop in the arm and sharp pain for a second.

I can move the arm around full motion without hardly any problem only occasionally feel pain like when reach back to put my camelback on. I think it is just a muscle pull but wondering if riding is a good idea or not. Have a ride on Saturday with a friend I haven't seen for a while.
I don't use Strava. Don't need an application to tell me I am slow because I already know.

What did you decide to do? I pulled a pec in January picking up a dumbbell that was too heavy, and I thought I let it heal for 4 months after 3 months of PT..

But now I'm having a hard time sleeping because that shoulder hurts (mostly at night), so I'm afraid I hurt something internal to the shoulder. Definitely get it checked out if it still going to see a specialist now.

Does yours pop a lot? That's something I'm starting to run into myself. Ugh.

We postponed the ride til next Saturday as Friday was still having some pain when I moved my arm in certain motions. Today haven't had much pain at all, just feels stiff and sometimes feel like I have icy hot on my shoulder when I haven't put any on at all today.

May have doc check it out to be on the safe side - last thing want to screw anything up further.
