    Major Chaff Help!

    Hi all

I've got major chaff and its killing me, can anyone recommend a remedy, please.

Also it feels like a little bump under my skin in the same area and its hurts when I touch it and ride, any idea of what it could be?

    Help would be much appreciated.

Body Glide. Wont heal what you have now, but will minimize future chafing probs. Goes on like deodorant. Check REI or the like.

I've used Bag Balm and Noxema with good results in the past (for prevention, not cure). I'd have a doc check out the bump.

    Works well for healing

Desitin works well, get the creamy version it doesn't have that fishy smell.

First of all, are you wearing properly fitting cycling-specific shorts?

Something like this may help... There's several products similar that you can use either on your body (as others have mentioned) or also on your bike short's insert to soften it up...

As far as the bump goes, could it be due to an ingrown hair from the chaffing/irritation/skin swelling? The one time I had issues with chaffing due to a pair of poorly fitting shorts, that tore me up pretty good. Not fun.

    Cheers, Chris
