I see the lower back pain threads are active, and I have read through them, but they don't really address my question: is there something I can adjust on my bike to alleviate lower back pain when climbing.
Some facts: I just got a new bike (Gary Fisher Paragon) and added a new stem (longer and with a greater angle, so the bars are higher) to get rid of neck and shoulder pain. This worked beautifully, but now when I am riding up inclines after about a 1/2 hour riding, my lower back gets stiff and sore. It eases up on flats and downhills, but after riding my back will feel tight and sore.
I do not have a history of back trouble, and have never encountered this with any other bikes. Is there something I can adjust to correct this or is the geometry the bike just incorrect for me? Thanks for advice.
