Leaving skin and hair behind. (Pics inside)

Hi all, my first injury post at these forums, I didn't brake anything, but I hope this qualifies anyway.

The story: I was going really fast down a singletrack I didn't know that well, suddenly I somehow hit a root with my flat pedal. I went over the bar, onto the ground, and then I felt the entire bike landing on my head. The biggest pain was actually at my ribs, I did see something at my leg, but at that time I just didnt give it much attention because of the rib- pain.
When returning from the track I noticed this at my foot. The hole to the left was actually pretty deep.

    The result:

somehow my flatpedals still had some of it on (the pic is bad, I know):

    The aftermatch:

Well the hole to the left kept spitting fluid a whole week, after that it just took a long time to recover (im still not done!), I suspect its because the pedals took a good chunk of the skin, and the scar needed extra time to replace that.

Nice job I've got one of those on the inside of my left ankle but it's from the chainring (foot went under the bike as it kicked out from under me). It's just now scabbing over 4 weeks later! I've got to get my clipless pedals out here and on my roadie!!!

Veggie wraps. Are they comfortable on long rides/hot days?

Very much so, I often forget that I wear them, they are really comfortable. I love em and I can really recommend them.
