    Knee Injury - Need Advice

I had a very minor crash on Tuesday after a bad landing. My knee ached a bit, so I rested for a few minutes. Then I pedaled lightly for a bit and it felt OK so I finished my ride. I was OK, until I sat down for about an hour to eat lunch. When I stood back up the pain was much worse. The next morning it had swelled up quite a bit.

I can't put much weight on that leg, it hurts and feels a little unstable. I can straighten it completely but can't bend it back much further than 90 degrees. When I twist my knee the pain is pretty intense.

Should I just ice it, rest, and give it some time to see if it heals? Or go right to the doctor? If I go to the doc, GP or straight to an ortho?

Rest, ice, compression, elevation and see a doctor asap.
