Probably a month ago now. I crashed on my left thigh and hip on my commute to work crossing a patch of ice. I should of stopped pedaling to cross it. But I kept pedaling and I guess the bike was just rocking enough. Next thing I know. I feel both tires start sliding out slow motion style.
I got a fist sized abrasion and was sore on my whole left side. After a few days after I developed a huge bruise that extended from my left hip down to my knee.
The abrasion is almost all healed and the bruising is all gone. But I have a subcutaneous bubble of fluid that is painless. The skin over it and around it is normal in colour. It is not getting bigger but not getting smaller either. It is about the diameter of the downtube of a aluminum bike and sticks out about 1 cm in the middle.
It is the first time I have ever had something like this after a crash.
Anyone else experienced something like this? Will it go away on it's own? Or will I have to get it drained?
