Bonking ... not feelin' well Another 6 Weeks Off the MTB...

    Just thought I would share,

I shattered my collarbone on April 7th racing the first round of the California Enduro Series. I got my plate and 8 screws put in about week after. Just got 2nd follow up since and the doc says I have to be off the bike for another 6 weeks.

Thanks guys. It's just so hard when you see your bike hanging on the wall everyday.

i had started biking this year... on my FIRST trail ride with my buddy i follow him over a rough / rocky drop and was clipped in.

well, i ate it and good!!!

bloodied up and bruised up my right leg.

    bloodied up my right elbow.

jacked up my shoulders from the fall, too.

i was down for 6 weeks and it sucked.

but i needed my shoulders to rest and heal otherwise i would be selling my brand new trek... and the wife would have killed me!!!

so, rest and heal and get back on it

Can't help but notice did they miss that 4th screw (from the right) and it's just embedded loose under your shoulder muscle?

If you go to library, you can find these awesome videos to keep you in shape. Jane Fonda aerobics. Just kidding, hope you can have some laughs, what else can you do. I had torn rotator cuff, sucked for awhile.

    Thanks again all,

And regarding the 4th and 5th screw, they had to set the "floating" pieces in the middle. I was first told that the break would heal without surgery, then the surgeon came in and showed the doc and I the x-rays and found the floaters; I immediately asked for surgery.

Cool thing is I can finally lift stuff now.

I can't wait to be healed up and active again. I hate other forms of exercise.
