    achilles tendonitis

I've developed what I think is achilles tendonitis in my right foot. The outside area at the corner of my heel and sole of foot has become sore and painful. I try streching which helps but it still feels so tight. I can deal with it but is there anything else that helps?

Hi dmo. The pain you are describing sounds more like it is affecting the sole of your foot and heel area. If it was your achilles tendon, it would be above the backside of your heel. Plantar Fasciitis affects the sole of the foot and the underside of the heel (sometimes the backside of the heel as well). It sounds more like that to me than achilles tendonitis. I can't find a way to post pictures so i've posted the links to both Plantar fasciitis and achillies tendonitis for you to look at and the treatment I would highly suggest looking in to. See which one you think you are suffering from.
