Anybody give their Redline bike some upgrade love for this Holiday season? I've been riding the bike stock with only Ergon grips since May. Here's what I came out of Christmas with for my '11 Monocog 29er:
Avid BB7 Front and Rear Mechanical Disc Brakes
Avid speed dial 7 levers
Jagwire Ripcord Brake wire kit
Crank Brothers Mallet 2 Clipless Pedals
Scott Trail Bike shoes
Kenda Small Block 8 tire for rear only (keeping the nevegal up front)
Likely also going to buy a park tool wire/housing cutter for the brake install. All this stuff is on order and probably won't be here until after the new year. This is going to feel like a brand new bike to me!
So let's see or hear your current setup and your upgrades!
The only upgrades that I have made to my '11 Flight Monocog is the addition of a Gamut bashguard with some super pimp red ano chainring bolts. Swapped the stock WTB seat for my old SDG, for pedals I use DMR V8's for casual riding, then I got a set of Xpedo clipless for off road use. I plan on getting a bigger front tire, maybe a Panaracer Rampage.
Added some Crank Brothers Eggbeater 3s before my ride yesterday. Always been more of a "Functional over Apearance" guy but digging the blue accents on the pedals matching the rest of the redline decals.

I am not repeating myself I am not repeating myself!
Some of this stuff was already on there when I bought it used from a friend. Here are some of the new upgrades I've made to it. I'm pretty happy with it now, so I won't be upgrading for a while
Here it is in all its glory. New WTB Wolverine 2.3 tire in the front, and a Geax Saguaro 2.2 in the rear.
New Salsa 32t chainring
Surly 19t cog and drivetrain

Cog 29er bought new in 07. Replaced the seat with a Swobo as soon as I got it. Just added Juicy Threes this afternoon. Next on the list are a suspension fork, headset, QR seat coller and will put my DX platform pedals on it from my 26er FSR when I replace them with a set of Saints
Need more posts before I can post a photo. Will post one soon.
Wheelset from Dave's Wheels (Stan's Arches, Project 321 SS 120pt hubs, DT spokes)
Truvativ OCT Stylo SS crankset and BB
CB Crampon Ultimates
2.2 IKON 3C front tire
probably do the brakes but that will be it. 2011 flight ROCKS!!!
Bead on the Purgatory **** the bed so I have a 2.4 Ardent on the way. Also killed another bottom bracket. Not sure if the Ardent will be an upgrade but it gets good reviews. BB is just another replacement XT external.

Can I ask how tall you are? I'm 5' 10" with 31" inseam and LBS put me on a 15"/small. I have about as much seat post sticking out as you and wondered if LBS only put me on a small because they didn't have a medium in stock. This was 4 years ago now so no going back to exchange sizes!
