    Monocog w/QR Rear?

Is anyone running a Quick Release rear on their Monocog 29er? I just picked up a set of wheels and want to know if my Redline tensioners will work or if I need to pick up different ones. Thanks.

I am. The tensioners work, but you need something to fill the gap between the large hole in the tensioner and the small diameter of the QR axle. Surly makes a set that work well. They come with the Tuggnut tensioner, but you can have a shop order them separately.

Thanks! Jensen actually sells the washers but didn't know if they fit the Redline ones. I will try them out.

Also, I've only ever used the tensioner on the drive side. Never had a need to use one on the disk side. I haven't ever had any slippage. Makes for a quicker set-up. Good luck!

You can run one on the Monocog Flight 29er but has different dropouts and tensioners, which are quite cool actually.

I know I am bumping an old thread here, but I'd like to run a QR in the rear too. Trail side flat repairs being the most convenient reason.

    kvojr,
Did you ever test those washers to see if they work on Monocogs?

I'd rather buy the washers and reuse the RL tensioner if I can.

    Thanks!

Yes, I had my shop order me a set of the washers, they were 7 bucks. Unfortunately, I screwed up my shoulder before I even had a chance to use them but they should work fine.
