    First "Flight" with my 'Cog

I finally joined the Redline club!

I received my Ebay bought '07 Monocog Flight 26er by the USPS at 1230 today and after putting it together and minor adjustments was in the dirt by 2 PM. I think that I made the right choice. I been looking at many different brands, but the 'cog in the 2007 catalog kept nagging at me, in a good way.

Got a pretty good deal with upgraded parts (wheels and brakes to name a few). The ride was 13 miles of fireroad and flowing singletrack. Got my 53 year old heart going which is a good thing!

I have been practicing on a SS converted mid '80's Formula steel frame, so I knew what to expect. I think the newer tech frame is a big improvement. I have the parts standing by to go 1x9 if I start riding it more than my '96 Proflex FS for the local hills. Time will tell!

Thanks to this forum for the helpful advice and the many colorful opinions...

    Disappointment

I guess that since I have received zero replies to my posting even though there's been quite a few views, I will keep my excitement and enthusiam for anything two wheeled to myself. I kinda expected more...

Those wheels look rather light? Weight?

I've always wondered about how the 26" 'cogs. So I imagine it's even quicker reacting than the 29-ers?

    Nice color.
    Just get out and ride!

on the light side.... I am hoping it helps with the stiffness of the Al frame and fork... The wheels do have a bit of flex. I pretty much only use the bike as a light duty bike.

    Weight- 20.8lbs with clip pedals
