Why Not Reopen The Political-Socio-Economic-Religion Forum?

So like, it's been awhile and things have died down. Maybe it would be a good time to give it another go. People shouldn't have to feel like they need to go somewhere else to share their values and beliefs, right?

I'm a satirist by nature, and enjoy a little political humor now and then. Right now I don't see an outlet on MTBR to trade jokes with fellow bikers. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. There's a lot of fun to be had with diverse topics.

Discussing politics on the innerwebs is retarded.

Isn't this a Mountain Bike Forum? I don't see the connection and I'm sure there are many places on the Net for these types of discussions. This site, and Mountain biking in general, is so I can escape these types of topics discussed elsewhere in life. My two cents.......

The OP's join date, Join Date: Nov 2010 and knowledge of F88 would suggest that we have a "sock" posting. Just sayin,

Yup......I don't come to a mountain bike site to talk politics or religion.....there are millions of other site that I can go to talk about that kind of crap.

Well good for him. Personally, I can't imagine typing with socks on my hands.

I'd like it to be open, too. If you don't want to talk politics, just don't go there. Why'd it close, anyway?

Wow - seems like I found an edge here. If this didn't belong in general discussion, then why not site feedback? Why bin the thread? Feeling threatened?

No, I did not know about f88. Thanks for the heads up.

maybe a sticky in the old F88 with a message and a link to F88me?
If the old forum is here to stay why not get something out of it?
