Vancouver is no better than LA is now

    http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-...,3220585.story

I used to think Vancouver was a cool mtn biking/hippie/hiking laid back community. I guess there are jerkoffs everywhere now.

I was absolutely embarrassed to tell people I'm from LA after the rioting and crap that took place after the last Lakers title. Now, I just realize that it doesn't matter where you live, there's plenty of idiots to screw it up for the rest of us. I'm a huge sports fan, but I cannot understand why people stoop to that level of ignorance and reckless abandon over a f*ckin' game. Seriously people, grow the f*ck up.

most of the trouble makers during every recent LA riots are gang bangers and opportunist street hoodlums.

Vancouver hoodlums pale compared to the ones in LA. The ones in LA probably real guns. Vancouver ones probably live with their mommies and for most of the time they're granola boys.

Are you trying to scare me? I live in L.A.

I hope you live here or have lived here after the reply you've posted because those who who do not live in L.A. and attempt to stereotype L.A. as being the worst, most unsafe place in the nation MAKE ME SICK!

And finally, if I ever go to Vancouver should I wear a shirt that says that I am from L.A. as a means of self preservation???

The people who started the riot in vancouver are not hockey fans, they went downtown to cause havoc and loot. This would have happened win or lose, it had nothing to do with hockey. Same thing happened at G-8 summit, they use the crowds as cover then start flipping cars and smashing windows. Sad thing is they get the crowd riled up too and then you have a bunch of copycat retards and things get out of hand.

On the other hand, one of the rioters is a professional mountain biker.

Target actually ditched Alex Pro in May before the controversy. EVOC canned him yesterday. Oakley pulled the plug on him today. I'm sure no one will touch him for a while. It's caused quite the controversy up here in the Great White North actually. Vancouverites (and many outside of Vancouver) are out for blood following the riots.

Francis just put up another link on his FB page:

This is the same truck that Alex Pro helped roll. He's not in the video, but he was close by.

As a Canadian, Van has always been my least favorite city. It's full of self righteous d-bags and gay as phuck hipsters. Yeah, it's an amazingly beautiful city, but the people in general sucks, so I'm not surprised this happened in Van of all places. Toronto where the g8 riots took place is an equally ****** city. And Alex 'pro' deserves what he's getting, he makes mtb'ers look bad, I hope he never get another sponsorship again. And last of all, not all Canadians are like the lame arses who started the riots.

Hopefully they're also not as homophobic and judgmental as you are.
