OT: How to be fired in under 5 min.

Judge Napolitano goes off ... (and subsequently gets canned from Fox)
Pls Watch if you give a crap

[Yes, There's a 'Fox' logo - he probably would have been fired had it been msNBC's too]

I Know this will be binned somehow, I don't care.
I hope it lasts long enough that some can see it.

When I first saw the Fox "news" logo in the corner, I was mighty skeptical, however this man speaks much truth.

I could see why Fox would fire him though... can't have one of their boys comparing how similar every President over the past 30 years really has been.

Wow, Fox normally makes me vomit! However, that guy's blurb was exactly what I think of your democaracy and ours up here in Canada. We are living in scary times, it's no surprise he got canned.

It's pretty hard to avoid. Even if you take out the word "Fox" from you're description, they have it plastered over 86.234% of their set...

Meh... Trolls will troll even if you slap the name of every single major network, website, and political blog up there too. Worthwhile view regardless of what side of the aisle one is on.

Thanks for sharing, dell. I like to imagine there were some people watching fox at that moment having their minds blown.

I would hope that your stomach churns equally as much from watching offerings from MSNBC as well considering the sentiments conveyed by Judge Napolitano are so eerily mirrored by the big media outlets.

And I'm sure you meant to say our representative republic

Scary times indeed. Reprehensible to consider how Washington himself would not stand a chance at winning a contemporary election because folks who feel a true sense of duty to their country and countrymen are rarely granted membership to the boys club.

Are you kidding? Washington was a great leader and a catalyst in the early days of our representative republic but really, he was a charter member of the boys club.

Yep, the old Soviet Union had a one party system and we reviled them. Wow, having TWO political parties is SO "democratic."

It isn't an accident that when the US helped Japan write it's constitution and set up West Germany, we helped them build modern parliamentary systems. If only someone would democratize us!
Bicycling is politics by other means.

    All true.

It's nice to know there are many out there who realize this republic is not determined by we the people. We the people do not even elect the president, the electoral college does and majority does not rule.
The underlying agenda of both parties are the same, the rest is rhetoric.

Thanks for posting that H-dell, it was refreshing.

If Washington was a charter member it was of a much different club. Perhaps my statement will better be conveyed in context of how values of yore are juxtaposed to those of today by adding:

then America is for you - (I'd say Constitutionalist, or Libertarian) - but that's promoting a party - and all the good parties always get shut down. So, make sure you don't attract cops and pick up your litter!

Yep, binned - I wish mods said why they binned or locked something - clearly, this thread had not become argumentative. Yet someone 'behind the curtain' thought it should be shut down - preemptively.

Look at all the sidebar ads around here nowadays bro. MTBR got their cash flow game dialed in. This site is now run by corporate hacks sucking the teat of the status quo.

You weren't kidding about living in the bin! I am honestly amazed that the banter stayed reasonable and pleasant, but we all know it's just a matter of time. It's amazing how inconsequential all the crazy political ******** going on around us becomes when we're out there riding. I think the whole country would do well to experience that feeling of real freedom more often.

Anyone else in the "oh were just f*cked" camp like me? Whenever i start learning about even the most "straight forward" social/political issue, the deeper i get and the more i learn the more i become completely dumbfounded, lost and frustrated. Thus i have turned into more of a political/social issue Nomad who feels complete disconnected and ostracized from every social issue and political party. Furthermore, the backstabbing clusterf*ck of hotheaded people who not only care to the point of being crazy, but require that I care as well, results in me caring even less, just so that i do not inadvertently become associated with some sort of d*shbaggary.

My point, I would rather just ride the wave, than battle the ocean, when it comes to politics.

I'd like to throw the reset switch on a lot of the career politicians. In any "real world", if you can't balance your budget or make appropriate concessions for the greater good, you get relieved of your duty. Politics shouldn't be a job either.

I'm in that boat. I did(and still would; long story, elaboration after work, maybe)at one point try to make things in my area better but the group effort to do good was thwarted by our local government while they Simultaneously complained there were no programs in the city exactly like what we were doing. Judge Nepolitano comes the closest to how I feel as a member of society and I'm glad he did what he did.

In related news: anyone see the Colbert Report last night?
