    MTBR Pot Forum

I advocate MTBR needs a seperate forum for pot related threads.

    Discussion is against the law.

I was just being a little sarcastic with the post! Seems we have a thread a week on the same topic. So why not have a specific forum.

It would never happen here, having a forum would suggest to some people that mtbr.com promotes the use of said substance.

Its 620 am and I just pulled a phat Bong hit. I'm going to drive and operate heavy machinery driving on snow covered roads. I'm going to stand in line and wait for the lift to start all while smoking more pot with people in line......I might even get a bloody marry. Once we are all good and buzzed we will proceed to load the lift and smoke more pot going up the chair. This will repeat most of the day.

Maybe HighDell should put down the bong, and build his own Bulletin Board dedicated to the legalization of Marijuana in AZ. He can sell all the advertising he wants on his own BB, though I seem to notice a lot of chronic pot heads here in CA can't even afford their rent, so they sure wouldn't have much discretionary income for anything more than papers, lighters, and "medicine" that is now legally killing them.

it varies from area to area so having one section for all of them is useless. Let them post in the place it is most relivant, for those that do not like it THEN DO NOT READ IT!

Since the medical marijuana law was passed there had been a pot post every few days. The original post was simply in jest for a place for those posts to have a home. Do you actually think I was serious?

When ETOH and caffene are made illegal, then I'll stop drinking them ; the hypocrites are those who think they can flaunt the existing laws on illegal substances, using tired old leftwing excuses that justify their addictions by pointing out what others, who have abused legal substances, as reasons why they should be able to become addicted zombie losers of illicit street drugs. The operative word(s) are legal and illegal, so perhaps what I and others really should say is that I/we have no use for, nor tolerance for those who are law breaking scumbag drug addict losers

Yes. Yes I do. In fact, I am enjoying a lovely Obsidian Stout from Deschutes Brewery right now.

It rates a solid "A" on Beer Advocate:

    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/63/197

must be that alcohol free stuff right?
Wrong again, little man. It's 6.4% ABV (Alcohol By Volume).

And it's completely legal. I especially enjoy one after a long day of putting druggies in jail.

Crimes, like illegal drugs and toddler rape, are offenses that you can (and should) do time for.

Infractions and violations, like speeding and dog leash violations, mean that you can't be sent to jail, no matter how many times you do it.

Why does hardly anyone serve any jail time for killing someone while they drove a car (they fukked up somewhere) - This seems like the best way to kill someone and not even see MS charges - It's an "accident"
Yet Pot smokers sit in a can?
Folks, let this be a warning to you, regarding the effects of combining prescribed SSRI (Selective Seratonin Reuptake Inhibitor) anti-depressent (psych) meds, with marijuana and/or other illegal drugs.

No. Enforcement is up to my discretion as an officer.

Sometimes, I let the school kids use my laser, and I stop the cars. They really get a kick out of it when I smell weed and end up arresting the driver.

Here in CA it is basically legal. Possession of an ounce or less is an infraction not a misdimineer which is basically the same as j walking. You can easily buy and smoke it legally so there's not much dick cops like you can do about it. Unless your smoking and driving of coarse. The thing is with the tough economic times many cities that were fighting cannabis dispensaries in the past are now allowing and permitting them. Pot that has been confiscated by police has actually been returned by the same police. I'll bet that makes you happy. I think its ridicules for pot to be illegal. Arresting and incarcerating people for smoking pot just continues to put more people in the for profit prison industry creating lifelong criminals. It wasn't that long ago that alcohol was illegal.

I bet you'd happily arrest someone for poaching singletrack or illegal trail building as well since your johnny law right.

OK, starting with the first highlighted word, basically, what we have is a bit of ambiguity in the interpretation of the laws, as well as whether or not district attorneys will spend the time and/or monies necessary to mount a prosecution. I'm sure that multiple, continual offenses of an ounce or less will eventually get someone's attention, and you will spend some time in jail, have a conviction on your record, replete with all the consequences that come with said conviction(s).

The next several words that I highlighted are either a spelling deficiency, or you're currently stoned while posting.

Yes, alcohol was once illegal, and plenty of folks paid the price, either with encarceration or more commonly, murdered. It's now legal, so it's a moot point. But, caveat emptor, you can and will be in violation of the law if you use/abuse alcohol, and the penalties are quite stiff, even more so in many locales, then misdemeanor/felony convictions for drug use/possession.

Lastly, your referencing LEO's as "dick cops" is classic...I have yet to have met or been acquainted with a drug user who has any respect for the laws and those who enforce them. Do you see where I'm going with this, big time?

highdell, you need to lighten' up pal...the fact of the matter is if one is not impaired on any substance, legal or otherwise, and accidentally kills someone while driving, it's just that, an accident, therefore, there is no need to jail someone. Sure, there will be all kinds of hell to pay, lawsuits, typically civil, threats of harm by survivors of the victim, possible loss of insurance, etc., but if one did all the right things, and didn't violate any laws while driving, and an accident occurs, then it's just that, an accident, and what some would call an Act of God.

Now, is there a reason you have to make your points or presentations using foul language???

Sorry your wrong about that one. Infraction=ticket and possible fine. No jail time nothing on record. Now get back out there and earn some money for the state. I bet there are plenty of near by trails where you can hide in the bushes with your radar gun. As for your comments on druggies, I know plenty of cops who feel that they are above the law and enjoy putting people in jail for laws that they break all the time. Unless your a cop in a big city which obviously you aren't your just a ticket collector similar to a meter maid.

that's your 'cut off'? "not impaired on a substance??
I was saying SPEEDING is a far worse offence than marijuana will ever be or ever was - and I'm willing to bet both you and the other hypocrite RIS do it quite often.

Do speeders deserve to go to jail before any marijuana user? ABSOLUTELY

You need to join a PSAA group, work the steps, remember there is no 13th step, get your mind clear, so that you don't make such rash, childish, angry, and antagonistic comments as you just now have. God may forgive you for your egg souflet for brains, but the courts won't...you have had experience with the courts, haven't you?

That's good to hear; atleast you have some respect for, if nothing else, the planet. I take it then that the grocery store you work in makes reasonable accomodations for bike commuter employees by providing secure bike racks, yes? My question is, given your proclivity for illegal drugs, what do you do when the grocery store chain decides to have a random urinalysis test for all baggers and stock boys, do you call out sick on those days?

Oh, and yes, I ride daily.

Fine, I wasn't aware you were promoted to "custom" grocery bagger. Ok, now that that's clear, do you automatically bag customer groceries using bad for the earth plastic bags, or do you automatically use paper bags....and if you do use paper bags, do you double bag, or do you just single bag, unless the customer requests double bag paper? Lastly, do you encourage customers to buy the reusable hemp bags with the grocery chain logo imprinted on the bag as a way to encourage recycling, saving trees, and keeping plastic out of our environment? Oh, do you volunteer to bike a little old lady's groceries to her door, if it appears that she may be too frail to carry her groceries from the store, let alone carry them up the steps to her home? Do you use giant handle bar baskets, or huge grocery panniers to custom accomodate grocery delivery requests, or do you have one of those new cargo bikes with a trailer attached? Do you find making deliveries in foul weather easier when you're doped up on dope? Do you have a nickname for yourself, like "Custom Grocery Deliveries"?

Nice to see our tax dollars being wasted by you surfing the net. Totally figures since you just inforce the rules and seem to think you don't need to follow them. Also nice bust that looks like a huge score give yourself a pat on the back.

On a side note I think that all new cops should be required to start their career in a city like Oakland where good cops are actually needed. It would help to dislodge that huge stick.

Hahaha wow that looks like some really good stuff. I bet the grandma that you arrested is a big time druggie. If that was in cali and they have a medical marijuana card there isn't a thing you can do about it. You woulden't last a second in Oakland.

Either you're SWP (Stoned While Posting), or you have an extensive criminal history because of your addictions, or you were rejected by numerous police agencies (Mayberry included) for possible employment; you have a lot of hate in you for an adolescent, especially toward law enforcement.

I was first sworn in about 20 years ago. I've done law enforcement in urban and rural environments. After working the Rodney King riots as a white cop, the rest has been cake.

I believe you, but if you can rationally claim that doing ALL of that makes you LESS impaired than a pot smoker,,,minding their own, doing the speed limit, listenin' to some Frampton- you are FULL of it (Imagine if you killed someone - really do, before you gloat about doing such things)

PS...I think you are F.o.S. anyways, so no need to really answer

Just my opinion, but id rather share the road with a "pothead" who is likely driving under the speed limit (paranoia) anyday of week over a cop that thinks that a closed parking lot with some orange cones set up to simualte "real world" scenarios is sufficiant enough training to go blasting down the road at 120 mph while doing everything but focusing on driving, what would happen if that "smoking hot" 20 oz cup of coffee that's sitting right near your jewels happens to open and spill? But im sure they went over how to deal with that situation in the academy.

    Lighten up, Nancy(s).

I'm far from perfect, but in the last 20 years, I have had exactly one accident with a patrol car. While backing up, I mis-judged how much room I had, and as I came to a stop, the rubber bumper cover of my patrol car touched the side of a parked car. Didn't even dent it. But completely my fault.

The people that I slalom between are impaired (almost always weed and/or alcohol) to the point that they don't see the 4000-pound, siren-equipped, gazillion-candlepower stroboscopic blue christmas tree I'm driving until I've already passed them, if at all.

And when I do drive like that, it may very well be because I'm on my way to a motor vehicle collision where some pot-head pulled out in front of an innocent family on the highway, causing tragic injuries and loss of life. I had one pull out in front of me the other day on my way home.

I'm certainly not the best driver in the world, but I have earned my expert road-racing license, and have served as a road-racing instructor. After going over 200 mph, 120 mph feels like a casual stroll.

And I have raised blisters on the inside of my thighs from spilling hot coffee, but I ignore it as best I can and just keep doing my job.

I thought of you the other day, Heighdi.

One of my beat partners wanted to assemble an impromptu team of officers to go grab some druggie who had committed several violent crimes in the last few days and had an APB out for his arrest. He was known to be a runner, so they invited me to go with.

Frankly, I wasn't at 100%. I had a pretty bad allergy attack the night before that cost me several hours of sleep, and I was still quite sleepy from the Benadryl. And let's face it- I'm less than two years away from my AARP membership. So we stopped on our way over and got all jacked up on fresh 100% Kona coffee.

Upon arrival, I wasn't half way down the side of the house when I heard the back screen door. I went over one fence and through another one, chasing him across his back yard and into the next one. In the interest of fairness, I loudly told him what was going to happen if he kept running. He decided that going to jail was going to be a better option for him.

so let me get this straight, not only was this guy running from you but he was already in the next yard, what exactly were you gonna do if he didnt stop? dont tell me you were gonna shoot this guy in the back while he was running from you, im pretty sure at that point any court would rule that the threat of imminent danger was no longer present
Ahhhh...Ahhhh....it's the hammy, it's the hammy!!

    .
help me understand this, you are a police officer right? do you have paramedic/emt training too? because if you do not i dont really see the importance of you risking others lives while speeding to respond to an accident scene where there are severe injuries involved. that would be something more suited to paramedic/emt's.

I am a police officer, I am medically trained to the level of First Responder, and I can get myself and my equipment (to include an AED) on scene much faster than any fire truck or ambulance, sometimes as much as 10 minutes faster. On certain types of calls, we don't let the medics in until we've cleared the scene anyway, so the time gap can be even bigger.
