    Welcome Back!
Shouldn't matter what others think. Just what you do, about you and yours anyways. Love your bikes, skills and think you're a great guy, which at times seams to be in short supply round here so hope you stick around.

Welcome Back by John Sebastian - Welcome Back Kotter Lyrics

    Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.

    Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.

Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.

Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)

Yeah we tease him a lot cause we've hot him on the spot, welcome back,
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

I ask a little patience from the lurkers and regulars here for this OP. He's a long time VRC guy that had a different handle last year that went through a tough time like we all do. I'm glad he's back and appreciate him checking in every now and then.

I love a solid off topic thread on a forum of like-minded folk. Not a Tool fan but that has nothing to do with my feelings towards metal. This band is currently pulling me back that direction.

My rules from the beginning have all worked around basic human decency. Since this is a diverse group of folks, come together around a shred of common ground, it can be tough to cipher out what's too far OT from old bike to get the boot. Rumpfys old cars? Someone's beer discovery? CL listings about stuff the doesn't even look like a bike? I dunno....

As long as it's not hurtful name calling, personal attacks, or other issues that could get folks eyebrows up in a group, face to face setting, I let it run.

If I get a PM or two on something, I figure the group is speaking, and act accordingly.

Let him run man, just being himself, ignore it. Stan ought to know a thing or two about being allowed to be himself, no?

Let's not get all offended shall we?

As with most things, there's more to the story than what meets the eye. Some long time people here will know what the deal is and why we would give the OP more latitude than most for his postings.

For those of you complaining about the OP, just thank your lucky stars that maybe life is a little easier for you than others.

This is not about the fairness or favoritism. This is about being human and having empathy.

OK, point taken, but if we don't know what the story/"deal" is? I wasn't complaining about the OP, I don't know him/her, don't know the history etc......... I've been here since 2006 so I consider myself a "long timer" and I have as much "empathy and humanity" as anyone here....I've paid my dues. . So I guess yes, it is somewhat about fairness & favoritism. I don't think it will change, it's part of life. But don't deny that it definately does exist here.

And not to diminish whatever difficulties the OP had, we all have trials and tribulations, some are just kept private.

I will show this thing soon.

    It's not pretty.

    I don't read.

I'm not sure this is the lightest bike here?

And contrary to what Aemmer said, I thought what you did at Thanksgiving was hilarious, but I'm an ass when I get too much wine in me, so who knows....
